This advisement option is a one year service, and designed to guide families in organizing and executing important procedures that are necessary for confident and successful navigation of the college recruiting process, including:

  • Initial Academic and Athletic Evaluation
  • Guidance in the selection of schools and athletic programs that potentially “match” with the prospect.
  • Navigating the “discovery phase” of the college search for athletes and building an educational foundation for NCAA rules and effective recruiting procedures.
  • Development of the personal profile (contact information, academic and athletic credentials, mission statement and coach’s testimonial.
  • Development of complete contact sheet for coaches (e-mail, phone, websites etc.).
  • Development of initial correspondence to coaches
  • Assistance in reviewing and developing ongoing, valuable and well-timed communications to coaches.
  • Formulate a personal “action plan.”
  • Regular one on one family meetings.
  • Connection with the club/high school coach and assisting with their role in the process.
  • Development of personal and detailed organizational chart
  • Registration assistance with NCAA Eligibility Center.
  • Assist in the development of both long and short term goals and “target calendars” for the purpose of efficient organization. (10/15/30 day targets).
  • One on one advisement on effective communication with coaches (mock phone conversations, mock interviews and suggested questions, face to face strategies etc.).
  • Guidance and suggestions to build a strong recruiting video and website.
  • Tournaments and Showcases: Choosing effectively and proactive communication with coaches regarding attendance and evaluations.
  • Suggestions in preparing for off campus and on campus contacts (timing, phone calls, email, home visits, official and unofficial visit etc.).
  • Guidance in navigating D-3, Ivy League and select, non-scholarship admissions.
  • Assistance in seeking and securing athletic scholarship.
  • Requesting financial aid pre-reads and negotiating financial aid packages.
  • The family will have unlimited access to Tom Kovic throughout the term of the service.
  Silver Service (5 hour advisement) $895.00

Families have the option to purchase individual advisement blocks that can be used in several ways including: Building a foundational knowledge base for college recruiting and developing individual tactics to close out a successful college search, to name a few. Tom Kovic, director of Victory Collegiate Consulting, will personally advise families, and during times that are convenient for them. "Reaching for Excellence" is a based on over 20 years of college recruiting experience and a comprehensive guide to the college recruiting process. Implement step by step instruction on how families utilize the "team approach" when navigating the college quest. NCAA rules, campus visits, financial aid, video streaming and building personal profiles are just a few examples of "impact chapters" the 3rd edition (April 2013) offers. Reaching for Excellence should be your "quick reference" when preparing and executing your college athletics recruiting plan. Team/High School Presentation                       Call for Availability

These presentations are designed to introduce prospects, parents, coaches and high school administrators to the college recruiting process. Topic areas include: The NCAA Eligibility Center, athletics scholarships and financial aid, contacts and evaluations, campus visits, effective communication with college coaches, profile and DVD development and organizing and managing your plan for success etc. Presentations will be conducted at high schools and private athletic clubs and follow an “assembly” approach and are typically 1 hour in length, with additional time allotted for questions and answers.
